If you’re looking for a way to spend September, there are plenty of local events happening around the city. From music festivals and art shows to sporting events and theatrical performances, there’s something for everyone!

Rifflandia 2022

Rifflandia is a music and arts festival that takes place every September in Victoria, BC. It’s one of the most popular festivals in British Columbia for good reason—the lineup is always awesome, it’s well-organized, and there are tons of fun things to do around town before or after you see your favourite artists perform.

Rifflandia will take place from September 15th-18th this year, so mark your calendars!

Fans have clearly been waiting, as the first wave of tickets sold out in a matter of weeks. Some of this year’s line-up is LORDE, CHARLI XCX, BEN HARPER, CYPRESS HILL and many more talented artists. There are still some tickets available (last time I checked)!!

Saanich Fair 2022

The Saanich Fair is an annual event that has been happening for over a century. It’s a great place to see local talent and sample some of the best food in BC. This year’s theme is “Plant your Roots at the Fair” and the feature is vegetables. If you’re free September 3-5th, definitely don’t miss this event!!

The fair is reputedly one of the largest community celebrations in Canada. The festival hosts art competitions, live music performances, local vendors selling their wares and more! There are also rides available for purchase during the event if you want to get your adrenaline pumping! Get your tickets here!!

Victoria Wine Festival 2022

The Victoria Wine Festival is a not-to-be-missed event in Victoria, BC. The festival will take place on September 18th-24th, 2022 at -historic rail roundhouse- The Car Shop at Bayview Place. This year’s festival theme is “A Night in Paris”, so you can expect all kinds of delicious eats and treats from some of your favourite European locales.

If you love wine and want to get a taste of what Europe has to offer, this festival is not one to miss! Here’s where you can find tickets!
