Saanich is the largest of Victoria’s municipalities, it is divided by East and West, North and Central Saanich. The population was 114,148 at the 2016 census. It is home to part of the University of Victoria which is bisected by neighbouring municipality of Oak Bay. Containing a variety of rural and urban landscapes. There is quite a few freshwater lakes and 18.40 miles of marine shoreline combined with over 100 parks! There is everything from shopping, schools and four recreation centres. Businesses small and large thrive here as Saanich continues to place a strong emphasis on continuing to build economic vibrancy, environmental integrity and social well being. Beaver Lake, Elk Lake, Gateway, Glanford, Gorge, Granville, Interurban, Layritz, Marigold, Northridge, Portage Inlet, Prospect Lake, Royal Oak, Rudd Park, Strawberry Vale, Tillicum, West Saanich, Willis Point

North Saanich Neighbourhoods include:

Ardmore, Deep Cove, Curteis Point, Cloake Hill/Green Park, Dean Park and the Southeast Quadrant are on the periphery of rich agricultural interior which is protected by the Provincial Agricultural Land Reserve.

Central Saanich Neighbourhoods include:

Brentwood Bay, Hawthorne, Inlet, Island View, Keating, Martindale, Oldfield, Saanichton, Tanner, Turgoose. This district began as a farming community, and many hobby farms, along with a handful of small working farms and vineyards still exist today.
